Privacy Policy
Gaëtan S. built the Fou d'Ball app as a free app. This service is provided at no cost and is intended to be used as is. This page informs you about the collection, use and disclosure of personal information for anyone who decides to use this service.
If you choose to use the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personal information collected is used to provide and improve the service. It is never sold, and it is never shared with anyone except as described below.
Information we collect
To let a team organise its matches, the app stores the information you provide when you sign in and play:
- your name, email address and profile picture;
- the teams you belong to and the matches you join or decline;
- your match statistics (appearances, goals, man of the match);
- the messages you post in your team's chat;
- a device token, used only to send you the notifications you enabled.
This data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the European Union, and is visible to the members of the teams you belong to.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Their own privacy policies apply:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase (authentication, database, storage, messaging)
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Mixpanel — product analytics, on their EU infrastructure
Notifications
Push notifications are split into three independent categories — team chat, match reminders and match alerts — each of which can be turned off from your profile at any time. Turning a category off stops the sending server-side, not just the display on your device.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from your profile in the app, without asking us. Deletion removes you from your teams and from every upcoming match, erases your personal information (name, email, profile picture, device token) and permanently deletes your login credentials. Match history kept by your teams is preserved in anonymised form so that past results and rankings stay consistent.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are published on this page, along with the date of the latest revision.
